As of today, January 12, New York State has expanded vaccine eligibility to people who are 65 and older and those who are immunocompromised.
Some details of this new eligibility remain unclear, including the exact list of diseases and health conditions that qualify as immunocompromised. This morning at a press conference with reporters, Governor Cuomo said state officials will be releasing a list soon.
NYS resources direct individuals to the Eligibility Checker website to make appointments. The state has also opened a vaccination hotline to schedule appointments. The number is: 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829)
