Burd Home Health Score 9.74 out of 10

As with most companies, it is easy to get into the routine of doing the same thing each and every day and finding yourself explaining "that is the way we've always done it". At Burd Home Health, we want to avoid this attitude at all costs! It is the view of our company to ensure that as we grow we are not losing sight of our true goal, which is to keep the families we serve in the center of why we do what we do. If we are a profitable company that seems to be growing and we are not earning the loyalty of the families we serve, then what will our fate be in 1, 2, 5 years from now? My guess is that the success we experience early will not last very long in that scenario.
For this reason, we invested in surveying our first 100 consumers to gauge two very simple things.
1. How happy are you with Burd Home Health as your fiscal intermediary?
2. How happy are you with the group of caregivers you've selected?
We are proud to report that the results of these questions are in.
Burd Home Health consumers rated Burd Home Health with a 9.74 out of 10 with the lowest score being an 8. Burd Home Health consumers rated their caregivers with a 9.57 out of 10 with the lowest score being a 7.
Along with these questions, we were also able to gauge our consumer's satisfaction in the following areas just to name a few.
- on-boarding experience
- time keeping and time approval
- pay rates
- communication with BHH relationship managers
- caregiver retention
- caregiver recruiting
As a result from these conversations, we took action in changing several of our key systems over the past several months to accommodate the needs of our consumers and caregivers. These systems included payroll, time keeping and on-boarding. Which if you are not aware with the type of business we are, these were very large undertakings. Keeping the consumer's goals and pain points in mind, we have completed many of these changes and from the survey results above, we feel these changes were rightfully done. To all our consumers and caregivers - your voices were heard and we will continue to listen!
We realize we still have many areas that we can improve, however the results from this most recent survey that included over 50% of our current client base is encouraging for the future of our business.
