COVID-19 Update from Burd Home Health

(abc7) New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is considering a “shelter-in-place” policy which would essentially be a widespread quarantine with exceptions for those without symptoms to leave their homes for food and medicine. (cbs news) Those considered “essential personnel” would still be allowed to travel to attend work. Home care aides in the CDPAP program would most likely be considered “essential personnel” and be able to work for their consumers. While this has not been passed yet, such considerations combined with the efforts for companies to have employees working from home sends a clear message that the coronavirus will have an impact on all New York State residents and businesses.
