Empowering Independence with CDPAP

The Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) is a New York Medicaid program that lets eligible individuals choose their own caregiver, often a family member or friend. Caregivers are paid by Medicaid with no cost to the person receiving care.

BURD Home Health has partnered with the statewide fiscal intermediary, Public Partnerships LLC (PPL), to support you across a broad range of needs, including registering with PPL for CDPAP services, providing technical assistance and answering any questions you may have.

CDPAP Changes in 2025:
Transition to PPL

New York State has named Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) as the new state-wide fiscal intermediary for CDPAP.

Since April 1, 2025, all CDPAP participants are required to work with PPL. BURD Home Health was hand-selected by PPL as a facilitator to help support CDPAP services.

Benefits of a PPL Facilitator

When you work with a PPL-approved facilitator, there’s no need to re-enroll or start over. Some things stay the same, including your hours, caregiver pay, and the PPL apps and systems like Time4Care and PPL@Home.

Plus you get even more support on top of that.
